Governed memory · Audit · Replay
Memory your agents can prove they relied on.
Sapere is the governance layer between your organization's knowledge and the agents acting on it. Every grounded decision carries a receipt — what it used, when it was true, and a replay you can verify.
append-only · provenance on every fact · replay any decision
"Decline — combined LTV exceeds the 0.90 policy floor."
valid-time ≠ transaction-time · bitemporal by default
01 — REMEMBER
Governed memory
A graph of decisions and rationale, every fact labelled by where it came from. Not a pile of embeddings.
02 — GOVERN
Action governance
Every write is vetted and fails closed. Autonomy is earned per lane, with floors the engine won't widen.
03 — PROVE
Audit & replay
An append-only, hash-chained record. Replay any decision: verified, revised, or tampered.
1.0 — REMEMBER
Knowledge with a paper trail
Sapere turns scattered decisions into a queryable graph — and every fact knows where it came from and when it was true. Agents draw on what your organization actually decided, not a plausible guess.
Explore the graph →- Provenance on every fact — extracted, inferred, or ambiguous
- Bitemporal: what was true, and what you knew when
- Conflicts surfaced for review, never silently overwritten
"Premiums must be filed under MA 211 CMR 79."
"Coastal roofs over 20 years tend toward decline."
"Flood-zone X treated as low risk?"
2.0 — GOVERN
Autonomy you grant, floors you can't undo
Memory only stays trustworthy if writes are governed. Every proposed fact is vetted and fails closed. Operators tune how much autonomy an agent has earned on each lane — and the engine enforces safety floors that tighten, never widen.
Tune a policy →- Propose-and-vet — nothing enters memory unvetted
- Fail-closed — unproven writes stay quarantined
- Role-gated promotion, recorded as authority events
▲ Safety floor locked — config can tighten, never widen.
3.0 — PROVE
Replay any decision, long after it happened
Every grounded action is written to an append-only, hash-chained record. Replay it later and Sapere tells you whether the state it relied on is unchanged, was revised, or was tampered with — and localizes exactly what moved.
Run a replay →- Merkle-rooted audit — rows can't be rewritten
- Replay returns verified, revised, or tampered
- Per-decision membership proof + customer audit export
Audit-ready by design
Every decision your agents make leaves a record you can hand to a regulator, a customer, or your own risk team.
Questions, answered
Sapere is the governance layer between your organization's knowledge and the AI agents acting on it. It combines a governed memory graph, action governance on the write path, and a tamper-evident audit you can replay — so an agent can act on what your organization actually knows, and you can prove what it relied on.
A vector store gives you similarity search over text; Sapere gives you governed memory. Facts carry provenance, decisions are bitemporal, writes are vetted before they count, and every grounded action is recorded in an audit you can replay. It is the part that turns retrieval into something you can trust and defend.
Two things. On the way in, the write path vets every proposed fact and fails closed, so unproven knowledge stays quarantined until it is promoted through a role-gated path. On the way out, grounding records the exact memory an agent used, and a hash-chained audit makes that record tamper-evident. Governance is enforced by the engine, not by convention.
Grounding is an agent drawing on real memory before it answers or acts — with the precise set it relied on captured. Replay re-checks that captured state later and tells you whether it is verified (unchanged), revised (the world moved on), or tampered. It is how a grounded action stays auditable long after it happened.
Yes. The autonomy dial lets an operator tune how much autonomy an agent has earned on a given lane — confidence and agreement thresholds — and publish it as a versioned policy. The engine enforces safety floors that can be tightened but never widened away, so more autonomy is always a deliberate, recorded decision.
No. Sapere is its own product with its own console, identity, and data plane. It shares Prodedify single sign-on, but its memory and audit live independently — you can adopt Sapere on its own to govern your agents, whether or not you use anything else in the stack.
