The Method

From PRD to production, in five stages

The Prodedify Method is the product lifecycle the platform is built around — where humans set direction and autonomous AI agents handle execution. Plan, design, build, ship, measure — and start the next loop with real evidence.

Most product tools stop at the ticket. The Prodedify Method goes from the original product requirement all the way through to a tested, shipped change — with autonomous agents doing the build, humans approving the plan, and a knowledge graph keeping context intact across every handoff.

1. Plan & Intake

Capture intent where it lives. Product requirements arrive as PRDs, issues, customer requests, or quick prompts; the platform decomposes them into structured, buildable work an agent can take to the next stage.

  • Author PRDs and specs in collaborative docs that stay linked to the work
  • Auto-decompose requirements into tasks with dependencies and scope
  • Triage and prioritize without bouncing between five different tools

2. Design

Turn intent into something concrete. Designers, PMs, and engineers refine the plan together — flows, interfaces, edge cases — while the knowledge graph captures every decision so the next stage starts from the right place.

  • Lightweight design specs alongside the underlying requirements
  • Decisions and trade-offs captured as first-class graph nodes
  • Hand off to build with full context, not a Slack thread summary

3. Build

Autonomous AI engineers do the work. A multi-agent router decomposes the plan, writes the code in an isolated sandbox, runs the tests, and opens a pull request your team reviews in the workflow it already knows.

  • Planning, building, testing, and reviewing handed off between specialized agents
  • Every run executes in a per-run Firecracker microVM with a full audit trail
  • Grounded in the product knowledge graph so context never gets lost

4. Test & Ship

Confidence before merge. Tests, type-checks, and reviews land alongside the agent-generated diff so the human reviewer is approving a complete change, not adopting a draft.

  • Tests and checks run in the same sandbox the code was written in
  • Pull request includes a clear summary, diff, and run log
  • Human reviewer always has the final say — nothing ships without approval

5. Measure & Monitor

Close the loop. Once a change is live, the platform tracks what shipped, how it performs, and what it changed — so the next plan starts from evidence, not memory.

  • Shipped work connected back to the requirements that drove it
  • Velocity, scope, and quality trends across cycles and projects
  • Outcomes feed into the knowledge graph for future planning

Underneath the five stages are three principles the platform never compromises on — the rules that make the lifecycle hold together when it scales.

Humans set direction

Agents are great at execution; people are great at judgment. The Prodedify Method keeps humans in charge of what to build and why, and lets agents handle the repetitive build work so the team's time goes to the work that actually requires people.

  • Strategy, scope, and trade-offs stay with the humans
  • Agents implement against a plan a human approved
  • Every shipped change traces back to a real decision

Context survives every handoff

Most tools lose context at every handoff — spec to design, design to build, build to launch. The product knowledge graph keeps the chain intact, so the next stage starts where the last one left off.

  • Requirements, decisions, code, and outcomes connected as one graph
  • Agents query the graph before planning or building
  • Context carries across people, agents, and time

Evidence over opinion

The goal is not "more output" — it is the right output. Measurement closes the loop, so what gets planned next is informed by what actually shipped and how it performed, not by who shouted loudest in standup.

  • Every cycle ends with what shipped and what changed
  • Outcomes link back to the requirements that drove them
  • Next plan starts from data, not memory

The Method, answered

No. The Method is how the platform is designed — the five stages are how Prodedify thinks about a product lifecycle, but you can use as much or as little of it as you want. Most teams adopt the parts that solve their current bottleneck and grow into the rest.

Agile and shape-up are process frameworks for humans. The Prodedify Method is a lifecycle designed for humans and autonomous AI engineers working together — so the stages are about what the work is, not who does it. You can still run agile or shape-up on top of it.

Most heavily in Build and Test & Ship — where they decompose the plan, write the code in an isolated sandbox, run the tests, and open a pull request for human review. Agents also help in Plan & Intake (decomposing PRDs) and Measure & Monitor (surfacing outcomes), but Strategy and Design stay with the humans.

No. The stages are how the platform connects work end to end — but teams adopt incrementally. A common starting point is Build (give an agent a PRD and review the PR), then grow into Plan and Measure as the graph builds up.

Prodedify integrates rather than replaces. Two-way GitHub sync, Slack routing, doc imports, and Model Context Protocol let agents reach the rest of your stack — so you keep the tools that are working and let Prodedify connect them.
